Experienced Business Development Manager joins Promon

We are very happy to welcome Lothar Michel to the Promon team! From May 2012, Lothar Michel, born 1967, is our Business Development Manager for the German speaking countries (DACH) and Eastern Europe.

The Computerbild edition of 22/2011 from 8th October 2011 included a CD/DVD containing the Online-Banking-Programm StarMoney7, which is protected by Promon Shield. It was also included a big advisor guide.

Computerbild reported, that both TÜV Saarland and the Computer-emergency team from the Saving banks (S-CERT) have come to the conclusion that Promon Shield effectively and reliable protects against malware and manipulation attacks. The Computerbild testlab has also performed own tests with the following result:

The main security challenge for online banking service providers is dealing with infected end-user PCs. Todays antivirus solutions have difficulties in keeping systems free from infection. Sophisticated malware running on client PCs poses a serious threat to all Internet services dealing with sensitive information. Online banking is one example, others include health care applications sharing patient information and VPN solutions providing access to sensitive information from outside the corporate network.
